With Congress MLAs Anand Singh and Pratap Gowda Patil missing from the Karnataka Assembly ahead of the crucial floor test, former chief minister Veerappa Moily has said that whenever they come they will support the alliance of the grand old party and JD (S).

Whenever missing MLAs come, they will support us, says Moily

"BJP will be exposed to the whole world. They know very well that they are 104, still they are trying everything and anything to buy our MLAs. But, our MLAs are intact. Two of our MLAs are still not here, whenever they come they will surely support us," Moily told the media.

The mystery surrounding Congress MLA Anand Singh, who was said to have switched sides, seems to be deepening. Initially it was reported that Anand Singh may support the BJP. Then yesterday (May 18) it emerged that the MLA may stay with the Congress.

It now appears that even the Congress is not sure about Anand Singh and are merely hopeful that he may turn up for the crucial trust vote.

"Physically he is not with us but he is in contact with our leaders. He has to come to Vidhana Soudha today. He will definitely vote for us. He is with us. He will come back," Congress MLA Ramalinga Reddy told the media today.

Anand Singh, who joined the Congress ahead of the Karnataka election, had made headlines on Thursday (May 17) after it was reported that he was not reachable and efforts on to trace him had gone in vain.

Patil was was an MLA of the BJP in 2008 before he joined Yeddyurappa's KJP . In 2013 however he joined he Congress and won the elections. This year too he won the elections from Maski. It was earlier reported that he was in talks with Sriramulu who had introduced him to politics in the first place.

Kumarswamy had Thursday (May 17) accused the BJP of using the Enforcement Directorate (ED) threats to coerce Singh to join the BJP. Kumaraswamy quoted another Congress MLA, who was said to in touch with Singh, as saying that he feared that Centre may let ED loose behind him if he does not join the BJP.
