From 'BJP Trojan' to #ShameOnArunJaitley; when Finance Minister faced Twitter's ire

New Delhi, Apr 15: In an embarrassment to the Narendra Modi-led government at Centre, Twitterati on Wednesday slammed the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for condemning union minister General VK Singh in an interview to NDTV.

In his interview to the private news channel the Finance Minister said the MoS External Affairs Minister could have avoided using the 'presstitute' to condemn the media. The Finance Minister appealed his cabinet colleague, VK Singh, to avoid restrain even after they are criticised.

Jaitley's statement perhaps didn't go well VK Singh's sympathisers and they immediately took to micro blogging site Twitter to express their anger using the hashtag '#ShameOnArunJaitley'. They also slammed Jaitley for giving his interview to a specific news channel.

Jaitley, who also happens to be Information and Broadcasting Minister, also criticised Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut's controversial statement which suggested revocation of Muslims' voting rights.
