When Manohar Parrikar mesmerised all with his humility, Def Min stands in queue at wedding
New Delhi, May 31: Manohar Parrikar is well-known for his humility and simple lifestyle since his days as Goa Chief Minister, the Defence Minister has once again mesmerised his admirers with his simplicity.
At a time when VVIPs are often seen giving the formalities amiss by breaking queues, using security persons where ever they go, pictures are doing the rounds on social networking websites showing Parrikar standing in a queue at a wedding in Pune.

A Facebook post by Kiran Chitnis, who's mother coincidently bumped into Parrikar, shows country's Defence Minister standing amongst other guests like just another common man. The post went viral on social media as people were in awe.
The user has shared three images along with his post and wrote, "My mom was at the wedding function of her childhood friend's son in Pune. Coincidentally she bumped into the hon. defence minister of India Shri Manohar Parrikar there."
"What hasn't changed is Manohar bhai's humility in his journey from being my home state's chief minister to the defence minister of our Nation. Standing in queue without any chamchas, no sense of air or superiority when mingling with public are just few of his immense qualities."
"Needless to say that his entire security arrangement was kept outside the wedding venue. For the entire hour and half that he was there, he was a guest at a wedding and not a minister on state visit."

Even during his stint as Goa CM Parrikar, an IIT graduate, travelled in economy class and moved around with out security personnel.
After becoming the Defence Minister he was given a Z category security but not an occasion has arrived when he is seen doing show-off.
