When India-Israel bonded over ‘Ichak Dana, Bichak Dana’
The Indian diplomats were taken by surprise when their counterparts from Israel, told them they were familiar with the very hummable song, Ichak Dana Bichak Dana.

The song from the 1955 Raj Kapoor starrer Shri 420 was played during the luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to welcome his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu.
When the live band at the lunch played the number, Indian diplomats were taken by surprise when their Israeli counterparts recognised the track. This was revealed by the secretary, Ministry for External Affairs, Vijay Gokhale during a press briefing.
"Interesting anecdote was that during lunch which PM hosted a short while ago, one of the music items played by the live band was 'Ichak Dana Bichak Dana'. Number of Israelis who knew that was amazing," Gokhale said.
Netanyahu is on a six-day visit to India. He received a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday. He held delegation-level talks with Modi following which nine MoU's were signed.
