When Gujarat Congress MLAs tied Rakhi to D K Shivakumar

All Congress MLAs who were lodged at a resort in Bengaluru were shifted to another in their home state

In a gesture to thank him for taking care of them, women legislators from Gujarat tied Rakhi to Karnataka Energy minister D K Shivakumar. Kaminiben B Rathore from the Dahegam Constituency thanked Shivakumar and his brother D K Suresh for protecting her and the other MLAs like 'true brothers'

D K Shivakumar, unfazed by the three-day Income Tax raids at his residence landed at the resort last on Sunday night. Focused on fulfilling the job given to him by the Congress leadership, Shivakumar made all arrangements for the legislators to reach the Bengaluru airport safely.

The legislators posed for group pictures with their caretakers, D K Suresh and Shivakumar. As a parting shot, women legislators tied Rakhis to both Kanakapura brothers as a mark of respect and gratitude. The moment was captured on camera.

The legislators were given a warm send off from the resort with garlands and bouquets. In all, the Congress had booked 61 tickets on an early morning flight to Ahmedabad. 43 MLAs along with other Congress leaders boarded the flight that took off from Bengaluru.
