When DK Shivakumar Said He Is Ready To Work Under 'CM' Kharge
A month before the Karnataka election, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar made headlines when he said that he would love to work under Mallikarjun Kharge if the latter became the Chief Minister of the state. As the CM decision still remains pending even after several meetings on Tuesday, DK Shivakumar's trust in Mallikarjun Kharge as the CM rather than Siddaramaiah is again in discussion.

Kharge is a senior Congress leader who has served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. He is also the President of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). Shivakumar, on the other hand, is a relatively younger leader who has emerged as a powerful force in Karnataka politics. He is known for his strong organizational skills and his ability to connect with voters.
Shivakumar's comments about Kharge were seen as a sign of his loyalty to the party. They also suggested that he was willing to put aside his own ambitions for the good of the party. However, some observers interpreted Shivakumar's comments as a sign that he was positioning himself as a potential CM candidate in the future.
In the meantime, Shivakumar's comments have made him a more popular figure among Congress workers. He is seen as a leader who is willing to put the party first.
Earlier in the day, Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah held separate meetings with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge as the party held hectic consultations to decide on who would lead the government in the southern state.
According to reports, Shivakumar told Kharge that Siddaramaiah's previous tenure from 2013 to 2018 was a misrule and this time he wants to be the chief minister. If he's not made the CM, he would like to continue as an MLA.
