The accused, identified as Akshay Shinde, was appointed on a contractual basis on August 1, 2024. He allegedly committed the abuse when the girls went to use the restroom, which lacked female staff supervision.

The abuse came to light when one of the girls complained of pain, subsequently disclosing to her parents that the accused had touched her inappropriately. Further investigation revealed that the second victim, a friend of the first girl, was also fearful of attending school. A local doctor confirmed the abuse upon examination of both girls, as reported by Hindustan Times.
