What is so special about Ram Rahim: CBI court

What is so special about him, the special CBI court judge asked the jail authorities while sentencing Gurmeet Ram Rahim. The observation was made during the hearing on the quantum of punishment at the Rohtak jail on Monday.

Ram Rahim was handed out a 20 year sentence to run consecutively in two rape cases. The court warned the jail authorities that he shall not be accorded any special treatment in jail. Hand him the jail uniform and treat him like any other prisoner, the court ordered.

The hearing at the Rohtak jail was not short of drama. Ram Rahim wailed like a child when the sentence was read out. He had to be forcefully dragged out of the court as he refused to leave.

Thodi ji riyayat ( have some mercy, mujhe koi bachalo (someone save me) is what the self styled godman said after the sentence was read out. He further said that his health is not good and if something were to happen to him, then the state would be responsible for the same.

The doctor was immediately called in and Ram Rahim was declared fit. The court was however in no mood to listen and held that he be taken immediately to his cell and treated like any other ordinary prisoner. Ram Rahim will now serve a rigorous term of 20 years in jail.
