'What infighting in BJP? Yeddyurappa is CM candidate', says Eshwarappa
After issuing warnings to BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, K S Eshwarappa did a roundabout on his stance. The leader who attacked Yeddyurappa during the rebel leaders meeting in Bengaluru claimed that there was no infighting within the party ours later at the same venue. Eshwarappa defied the party senior leadership's directives to not attend the meetings called by disgruntled workers. The leader, however, was quick to justify his move and said that the meeting was only aimed at strengthening the party.

K S Eshwarappa even reiterated that B S Yeddyurappa was the Chief minister candidate for the BJP in the 2018 assembly polls. "There is no infighting in the party. We are only fighting to save organisation the organisation. We are confident about achieving success. B S Yeddyurappa is our Chief Minister candidate for the assembly polls," K S Eshwarappa told media persons.
His statements to the media were in stark contrast to the statement he made while addressing the rebel workers. In a meeting held at Bengaluru's palace grounds where leaders like Bhanuprakash called B S Yeddyurappa 'unfit', Eshwarappa issued warnings to him.
"Will you suspend honest workers? Be very careful when you mess with us. You warn us against holding this meeting? We now warn you from this meeting. Those who quit the party have no right to teach us, " Eshwarappa had said earlier in the day. He even lambasted Yeddyurappa for quitting the BJP, forming the KJP during the previous assembly elections in the state. He held Yeddyurappa directly responsible for Congress coming to power in the state.
The change in K S Eshwarappa's stance came about after B S Yeddyurappa spoke to the media about the rebel leaders meet. The BJP state president said that the high command was keeping tab of everything and that suitable action would follow.
