The report highlighted that 63% of employees value acknowledgment from leadership, which plays a significant role in boosting morale. This emphasis on recognition is echoed by 62% of employees who feel happier when their efforts are appreciated.

Indeed's report is based on interviews with 3,005 individuals across India, comprising 30% C-Suite Executives and 70% employees. It underscores the importance of validation and inclusion in building confidence and fostering a supportive work environment. Such an atmosphere empowers employees to thrive and contributes to a collaborative workplace.

The report further revealed that 58% of employees stress the importance of having their opinions and ideas welcomed by colleagues. "It's clear that acknowledgement and a safe, open environment are at the heart of a thriving workplace," commented Sashi Kumar, Indeed India Head of Sales.

Moreover, nearly 64% of employees reported that their companies promote creative thinking, enhancing their sense of connection. Additionally, 61% appreciated the freedom to express themselves openly, feeling more engaged in workplaces that encourage idea-sharing and inclusion.
