West Bengal: TMC conference to boost party workers' morale

Kolkata, Feb 18: Ahead of the civic polls in the city, Trinamool Congress organised a conference of its party workers today to boost their morale and asked them not to pay heed to "negative" campaigning by the opposition.

TMC new additional secretary general and MP Subrata Bakshi, state Food Minister Jyotipriyo Mallick, MP Saugata Roy and party observer for North 24 Parganas Nirmal Ghosh were present at the conference, which was participated by around 3000 workers, state Agriculture Minister Purnendu Basu told PTI.

"In fact, the party's outstanding performance in the just concluded bypolls at Bongaon Lok Sabha seat and Krishnaganj assembly seat has boosted the confidence of our workers," he added.

Similar conferences would be held in different parts of the state, he added.
