Governor of West Bengal to Discuss Centre's Stoppage of MGNREGA Funds with Trinamool Congress Leaders

According to an official source, Governor Bose has confirmed his availability for a meeting with TMC leaders at 4pm on Monday at Raj Bhavan. Governor Bose, upon returning from Darjeeling on Sunday night, reaffirmed his commitment towards maintaining open dialogue with all political parties. He emphasized that Raj Bhavan is 'Jana Raj Bhavan', symbolizing its openness and accessibility for everyone round-the-clock from 4 am till 11 pm. "Any leader of any party is welcome in Raj Bhavan. I will certainly meet those who want to meet me anytime till 11pm," stated Bose while addressing reporters at the city airport.

Earlier during the day, before confirming his appointment with TMC leaders, Governor Bose expressed his willingness to engage with those affected due to deprivation of MGNREGA work in West Bengal. He assured that he would take up their grievances directly with New Delhi in an attempt to resolve their issues promptly.

However, amidst these developments, there was no official confirmation about whether Governor Bose would meet TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee. The governor had just returned to Kolkata from Darjeeling after assessing the flood situation in north Bengal.
