West Bengal Governor Demands Report on ED Officers Attack in Ration Scam Case
West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose has sought a report from the state government regarding the mob attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers during a raid at TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikhs residence in connection with a ration scam. The governor has expressed strong displeasure over the polices failure to apprehend Shahjahan and has requested a report explaining why he has not been arrested and whether he is still in the country.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has sought a report from the state government on the action taken in response to a mob attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers who conducted a raid at Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Shahjahan Sheikh's house in connection with the ration scam.

Governor's Concerns
The governor has expressed his concerns regarding the failure of the police to apprehend Shahjahan, who is a key accused in the ration scam case. He has asked the state government to provide a report explaining why Shahjahan has not been arrested and to clarify whether he is still in India or has crossed the border.
Accountability and Action
Governor Bose has also urged the state government to hold accountable those responsible for the failure of the law and order machinery. He has called for action against police officers who neglected their duties during the mob attack on ED officers.
Meeting with CRPF and ED Officials
Earlier in the day, Governor Bose met with top officials from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the ED to discuss the incident. He expressed his strong displeasure over the police's failure to apprehend Shahjahan and issued a stern warning, stating that the police must cease playing hide-and-seek.
Governor Bose's intervention in the matter reflects the seriousness of the situation and the need for prompt action to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law. The state government's response to the governor's demands will be closely monitored, and further developments in the case are expected in the coming days.
