The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has taken a progressive step by implementing online marks submission for class 10 board examinations. This digital initiative aims to enhance transparency, fairness, and efficiency in the evaluation process, marking a significant milestone in the boards commitment to modernization.

In a significant move towards complete digitization of the examination and evaluation process, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has mandated all head examiners of answer sheets for the recently concluded class 10 board examinations to submit marks online. This initiative aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.

West Bengal Board Revolutionizes Exam Evaluation: Online Marks Submission for Class 10

Online Marks Submission for Madhyamik Pariksha

The WBBSE has introduced online marks submission for all subjects of the Madhyamik Pariksha, in addition to the existing method of submitting marks through OMR mark sheets. This step forward streamlines the submission procedure and enhances efficiency, according to a board official.

Assistance for Head Examiners

Recognizing the challenges that may arise in transitioning to the new system, the board encourages head examiners to seek assistance from scrutinisers. Up to 4-5 scrutinisers can be enlisted to help navigate the online marks submission process effectively and within the stipulated time frame.

Video Demonstration and Support

To familiarize head examiners with the online marks submission process, the board will share a detailed video demonstration. The link to access the video will be communicated to them via SMS. This comprehensive guide will ensure that head examiners are well-equipped to upload marks online.

Appreciation for Examiners' Efforts

As a token of appreciation for the examiners' efforts in adapting to the new system, the board will provide a consolidated honorarium of Rs 500 to each head examiner. This payment will be made at the time of remuneration disbursement, subject to the completion of respective online submission of marks.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education's move towards digitalization marks a significant step in modernizing the examination and evaluation process. By embracing technology, the board aims to enhance transparency, fairness, and efficiency, ultimately benefiting students and ensuring the integrity of the education system.
