West Bengal: 1 killed in clash between TMC, BJP cadres in Birbhum
Suri (WB), Nov 16 (PTI) One person was killed and another injured on Sunday in a clash between supporters of ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP at Parui in Birbhum district, the police said.
Sheikh Jasim, suspected to be a BJP supporter of Chowmondalpur village, was shot dead early this morning when they were attacked allegedly by Trinamool Congress members in the village, the police said.

Superintendent of Police Birbhum Alok Rajoria visited the village. The body was brought to Suri Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, hospital authorities said.
Sporadic clashes between the supporters of the rival political parties have taken place at the villages of Sirsita, Chowmondalpur and Jadabpur in Parui since last night.
Large police contingents have been carrying out search operations and raiding the hideouts of the warring party supporters in the villages. Incidents of random bombing, firing from countrymade guns and looting have been reported from the villages, the police said.
One person also suffered bullet wounds in the leg at Sirista village in a clash last night, the police said.
