‘We Promised To Stay Together’: Man Kills Wife, Dies By Suicide—Note Reveals Why
A real estate dealer from Ghaziabad, near Delhi, shot his wife and then killed himself on Wednesday, according to an NDTV report. The man, Kuldip Tyagi, was 46 years old. He left a suicide note saying he had cancer and did not want money spent on his treatment. He wrote that recovery was not certain, and that he had decided to take his wife along as they had promised to stay together always.
The shocking incident happened at around 11 am at their home in Radha Kunj society, Raj Nagar Extension. Kuldip used his licensed revolver to shoot his wife, Anshu Tyagi, who was lying on the bed. He then shot himself. Their two sons were at home at the time. When they heard gunshots, they rushed to the room and found their mother on the bed and their father on the floor. They were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared both of them dead.

Police found a suicide note in the room. It said, "I have cancer. My family does not know. I don't want money to be spent on my treatment because I may not survive. I am taking my wife with me as we had promised to be together forever. No one, especially my children, should be blamed."
The couple is survived by their two sons and Kuldip's father, who is a retired policeman. Police have taken the revolver and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
Senior police officer Poonam Mishra said, "Kuldip Tyagi shot his wife and then himself. He left a note mentioning his illness and the reason behind his actions. We are investigating the case and talking to family members for more information."
