Prime Minister Narendra Modi's much-anticipated state visit to the United States commenced with great enthusiasm as he arrived at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to a rousing reception from the Indian diaspora.
Chants of 'Modi, Modi' echoed through the air as the Prime Minister set foot on American soil on Tuesday evening.

After he landed at the airport, the Indian Prime Minister was greeted by Indian-American diplomats, including India's Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and India's Permanent Representative to United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj.
The Indian community turned out in large numbers outside Lotte New York Palace Hotel, where the Prime Minister will be staying during his visit, to extend their heartfelt welcome.
With its close proximity to Central Park, Lotte New York Palace Hotel is the chosen residence for Prime Minister Modi throughout his stay. Offering luxurious accommodations, the hotel provides rooms starting from Rs 48,000 per night, catering to the esteemed guest's requirements.

Prime Minister Modi's itinerary includes leading the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations Headquarters on June 21. Additionally, he will engage in crucial meetings with US President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The Bidens will honor the Prime Minister with a State dinner on June 22, followed by an address to a joint session of the US Congress.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also seize the opportunity to meet with prominent CEOs and professionals, fostering collaborations between India and the US. Interacting with the Indian diaspora residing in the US holds significance as well, as he aims to strengthen the bond between the two nations.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden extended the invitation to Prime Minister Modi, making his visit all the more momentous. The Prime Minister's visit to the US concludes on June 24, after which he will embark on a two-day visit to Egypt.
Prime Minister Modi's visit is expected to further solidify the strategic partnership between India and the United States, fostering cooperation on various fronts and reaffirming the strong ties between the two nations.
