Watch Massive Fire Destroys 5 Houseboats In Srinagar's Iconic Dal Lake

A fire incident unfolded on the outskirts of Srinagar district in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the destruction of numerous houseboats on Dal Lake, as per officials.

The blaze originated in one of the houseboats during the late hours of Friday (Nov 10) and rapidly spread, consuming several adjoining structures. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities arising from the fire.

"Several houseboats were devastated in a substantial fire on Dal Lake. The fire originated in one houseboat and subsequently spread to others," officials stated.

An official from the Fire and Emergency Services Department mentioned that the fire broke out near Ghat number 9 of Dal Lake at approximately 5:15 am. At least five houseboats and three huts suffered damage in the incident.
