A tragic accident on the Gwalior Jhansi highway in Madhya Pradesh resulted in the death of five individuals early Sunday morning. The incident happened near Malwa College which is about 20 km away from the district headquarters.

Police Begin Investigation and CCTV Examination

Superintendent of Police Robin Jain stated that officers are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to determine if negligence played a role or if the tractor trolley entered the road from the wrong direction.

Eyewitness Details and Police Account

Gwalior city police chief Hina Khan told ANI, "This morning, between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m., the control room received information that an accident had occurred on the highway in front of Malwa College, involving a collision between a car and a tractor. Police immediately rushed to the scene, and everyone arrived to verify the incident."

She explained that the white SUV had five boys who were on a trip together and were traveling from the Dabra side before crashing into the tractor from behind. Khan confirmed that there were no survivors found at the location.

Victim Identity Verification and Missing Tractor Driver

The bodies were shifted to the district hospital for post mortem examinations. Initial information suggests that some of the deceased belonged to the Rajawat family from Adityapuram, while the identities of the remaining individuals are still being confirmed.

Khan stated, "While the details are still unclear, some of the boys belong to the Rajawat family, residents of Adityapuram, and we are verifying the rest... We have kept their bodies for post-mortem at the district hospital."

She further noted, "The tractor driver was not found at the scene, but we have his contact number and are taking action against him based on that."
