WATCH: Axis My India CMD Breaks Down Live On TV After Disparity Between Exit Poll And Actual Results
Pradeep Gupta, founder and CMD of My Axis India, broke down into tears live on India Today's channel. The man who was behind the exit polls for India Today, held his hands over his face after his reaction got worse. He was apparently upset over how different the outcomes were between the exit poll results which were released on 1 June, and how the actual election results are being released today.

According to data from their website, Axis My India's exit polls predicted that the BJP and NDA alliance would win between 361 to 401 seats, with Congress and I.N.D.I.A. alliance winning only 131 to 166 seats. They had also predicted that BJP would acquire around three-fourths of the total votes for NDA, acquiring between 322-340 seats.

In actuality, NDA so far has only managed to get around 295 seats, only occasionally passing 300 seats during the different counting phases today, whereas the I.N.D.I.A alliance have reached around 230 seats.
The election this time was a lot closer than many exit polls predicted, with some people also calling out all the exit polls to be a scam.

In the live feed, Pradeep Gupta was shown breaking down as the other reporters tried to console him. One of the reporters reminded audiences and Gupta that exit polls were not a perfectly accurate way to predict the election results, and these types of situations were bound to happen. Another reporter also consoled him by saying he did manage to get some of the results right like in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
