Was Jayalalithaa pregnant? Never says TN government
Chennai, July 25: The Tamil Nadu government has told the Madras High Court that Jayalalithaa was never pregnant in her lifetime. The submission was made by the Advocate General of Tamil Nadu Vijay Narayan on a petition filed by one Amrutha of Bengaluru who claimed to be the biological daughter of the late leader.

He further submitted that the intent of the petitioner was to take over the properties left behind by Jayalalithaa. He further questioned why the petitioner had never taken a picture with the late leader.
The AG also said that as per records submitted by Amrutha, she was born in August 1980. The video clip submitted by her was taken in 1980 at an award ceremony. This was filmed just a month before she was born and the court can see there are no signs of pregnancy, the AG further submitted.
Narayan further added that there are other relatives of Jayalalithaa and their DNA samples can be compared with that of Amrutha, if required. The court has posted the matter for further hearing to next week.
Amrutha in her petition had sought for a direction to exhume Jayalalithaa's body and enable her and her family to cremate it on the grounds that Jayalalithaa was a Brahmin.
She also asked the court to order a DNA test to ascertain her parentage.
