Was Adani Group Involved With Uttarakhand Tunnel Construction Firm?
The Adani Group on Monday clarified its non-involvement in the construction of the collapsed Uttarakhand tunnel, where 41 workers have been trapped for 16 days.
In a statement, an Adani spokesperson condemned attempts to link the group to the tunnel's unfortunate collapse, stating that neither their subsidiaries nor they have any direct or indirect association with the construction.

The tunnel, part of the 880-km Char Dham project, collapsed on November 12, trapping the workers. Navayuga Engineering Company Limited oversees the construction, a company in which the Adani Group has no ownership or shares.
To expedite the rescue efforts, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) initiated manual horizontal digging alongside the ongoing top-down drilling in the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi.
Due to the auger drill encountering obstacles and getting entangled in debris, manual drilling was initiated. Presently, the focus remains on vertical and manual horizontal drilling methods, along with ongoing plans for horizontal drilling from the Barkot end of the tunnel.
