Chennai. Feb 15: For the second day in a row, both warring camps of AIADMK met Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao. E Palanisamy and his camp met the governor to reiterate their request for an invite to form the government. Panneerselvam who was given an appointment to meet the governor later is said to have made an appeal to give him the opportunity to prove majority.

Palanisamy & OPS meets Governor

"We expect the Governor to invite us tomorrow to form the government. We have the support of 124 MLAs. We are sure that the Governor would protect democracy," said a statement from Palanisamy's supporters. While the numbers seem to favour Sasikala's proxy Palanisamy, Panneerselvam's camp has continued to allege that MLAs are being held hostage at the resort and their signatures have been obtained under duress.

With Sasikala convicted in a criminal case and sent to jail, the governor is expected to make decisions about the political logjam in Tamil Nadu soon. Both camps have expressed confidence of being given a chance to prove majority but a composite swearing in likely to take place on Friday following which each leader would be asked to prove majority in the Tamil Nadu assembly.
