Warrant against Zakir Naik for promoting enmity
A non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued against Dr Zakir Naik on the ground for promoting enmity between communities. The order was issued by a special court of the National Investigation Agency in Mumbai.

The NIA has been probing into the speeches made by the controversial Islamic preacher. It was alleged that several persons had taken to terror or had been radicalised due to these speeches, a charge that Naik has denied. The NIA also probed several cases related to radicalisation and alleged conversions.
The NIA had issued several summons to Naik and even asked him to join the investigation. However, he has failed to turn up despite the summons being issued.
It may be recalled that it was only last week that a special court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Naik in connection with a money laundering case being probed by the Enforcement Directorate.
