Want to change politics of violence, says Amit Shah in Tripura
BJP President Amit Shah will be campaigning in the northeastern state of Tripura on Sunday ahead of the Assembly elections on February 18.
While addressing a gathering, Shah said,''"We want to change politics of violence in Tripura to politics of development. In Tripura, birth anniversaries of Stalin & Lenin are celebrated but not of Tagore & Vivekanand. Bring BJP govt in the state and within five years we will make it a model state." quoted as saying by ANI.
During his two-day visit to the state, Shah is scheduled to address election rallies in Mohanpur, Chawmanu and Teliamura. He also held a roadshow while travelling from Bamutia to Mohanpur, where he addressed a public meeting.
The northeastern state of Tripura is going to polls on February 18 while the counting of votes will be done on March 3.
