Vyapam scam: TV journalist Akshay Singh dies; Twitterati condoles his death
New Delhi, July 5: Television journalist Akshay Singh lost his life on Saturday, July 4, while he was covering the massive recruitment scam in Madhya Pradesh.
His mysterious death comes as a shock, as just before his death, he called on the parents of Namrata Damor, an alleged beneficiary of the Vyapam scandal who died in mysterious circumstances.
Akshay Singh, a New Delhi-based journalist of TV channel Aaj Tak, went to Madhya Pradesh to cover the recent string of deaths of people involved in the scam. [Vyapam scam: TV journalist Akshay Singh to be cremated today; SIT to probe his death]
Besides a large number of journalists, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal attended Akshay's last rites at the Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi.
More than 40 people associated with the scam have died since 2013.
Here are some Twitter reactions on the shocking demise of 36-year-old Akshay Singh:
