VVIP Tent City With 5-Star Room Facilities Rises For Ram Temple Inauguration

Ayodhya wears a festive look ahead of Ram Temple inauguration as devotees from across the country come to the town to witness the historic occasion.

To ensure a smooth entry and exit for visitors for the consecration ceremony on Monday, the Uttar Pradesh government has made an impressive logistical feat. With meticulous planning, they designated 51 parking locations across the city, accommodating a 22,825 vehicles. These parking spots have been set under the watchful eye of drone surveillance, assuring the safety and security of the visitors.

51 places have been identified to park vehicles of guests coming for the ceremony, Additional Director General (ADG), Traffic, BD Paulson said. These include five spots on Rampath, one on Bhakti Path Marg, four on Dharma Path Marg, five on Parikrama Marg, two on Bandha Marg, one on Tehri Bazaar Rampath to Mahobra Marg and seven places on Tehri Bazaar Rampath to Unwal Marg, he stated.

As per a report, parking arrangements cover two spots on the Ayodhya to Gonda route, 10 on national highway 27, seven in Tirtha Kshetra Puram, three around Karsevak Puram tent city, and four at Ramkatha Mandapam tent city. These parking lots have been built on government, private and tourism department lands. Apart from this, vehicles will also be parked in the multilevel parking facility built.

Anticipating a substantial influx of VVIP traffic, preparations are being made at the newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport as well.

The VIP lounge of the airport cannot accommodate more guests at a time, so as an alternative, a tent city is being constructed on the left side of the exit gate of the airport.

It will have 15 rooms, each equipped with facilities reminiscent of a five-star hotel. Officials from the organization overseeing this project said that in the event the airport lounge reaches its capacity, the VVIP guests will find comfort and luxury in this temporary abode adjacent to the airport.

The tent city will be completed by Sunday evening, providing a seamless transition for arriving dignitaries. The authorities have decided to retain the tent city for the passengers arriving from the airport till the Ram Navami festival in March.
