Vote in large numbers, PM urges Delhiites
New Delhi, Feb 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged the voters in Delhi to exercise their franchise in large numbers in the assembly polls.
"As Delhi votes today (Saturday), urging voters to go out and vote in large numbers," the prime minister tweeted.
"I particularly call upon my young friends to vote in record numbers," another tweet said.
Polling is underway for the 70-member Delhi Assembly polls. The voting began at 8 AM at over 12,000 polling stations. A total of over 1.33 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.
A total of 673 candidates are in the fray in the contest.
