Visakhapatnam Roadshow: PM Modi Joined by CM Naidu and Pawan Kalyan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed upon his arrival in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday. AP Governor Syed Abdul Nazir, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and BJP leaders greeted the Prime Minister in the port city.
After arriving, Prime Minister Modi made his way to Siripuram Junction from the airport, where he participated in a grand roadshow. The roadshow stretched from Siripuram to the Andhra University Engineering College grounds, with large crowds lining the streets to greet him.

Alongside Prime Minister Modi, CM Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan also joined the roadshow. Following the procession, the Prime Minister attended a public meeting at AU Engineering College, where members of the BJP-TDP-Janasena alliance gathered in large numbers to welcome him.
The evening's events were marked by an extraordinary reception for the Prime Minister, with dignitaries such as Governor Abdul Nazir, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and other ministers and officials present. The roadshow, which started from Tatichetlapalem, passed through the Telugu Thalli Flyover, and ended at Siripuram before concluding at AU Grounds for a public gathering.
Prime Minister Modi's visit was not just ceremonial but also pivotal for the region's development. He is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects totaling an astounding Rs. 2.08 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam. Among the key initiatives are the inauguration of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone and the laying of foundation stones for the NTPC Green Hydrogen Hub and the Bulk Drug Park in Anakapalle district. Additionally, the Prime Minister's agenda includes upgrading railway infrastructure, including line doubling, electrification works, and the dedication of national highways, significantly benefiting the state's connectivity and development.
The establishment of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone is a landmark project that fulfills a long-standing commitment made by the Centre under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014. The state government has provided the necessary land, and the railway department is proceeding with tender calls, emphasizing the government's commitment to improving regional connectivity.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister's visit marks the beginning of several other ambitious projects. Notably, the laying of the foundation stone for the Visakhapatnam Railway Station and the Krishnapatnam Industrial City in Tirupati district, expected to be completed by 2027, will be key milestones in the region's infrastructural development. These projects are expected to boost economic growth, improve regional connectivity, and create numerous job opportunities for the local population.
