Viral Video: Madhya Pradesh Govt Official Selected Under 'Specially Abled Quota' Found Dancing
A Madhya Pradesh government official, who bagged the job under the 'specially abled quota', was seen dancing in a viral video. According to the reports, the official has been identified as Priyanka Kadam, who bagged a government job after clearing the State Service Examination 2022 conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC).
The video was highlighted by a student organisation, which demanded probe into her selection under the 'specially abled quota' stating that she can walk and dance.

Reacting to the allegations, Priyanka Kadam clarified that she has a 45 percent disable due to bone issues and junked all the allegations against her.
She is currently serving as an assistant audit officer in Ujjain's treasury and accounts department due to pending government procedures.
Disability Certification Under Question
The leader of the National Educated Youth Union questioned Kadam's claim of being "bone-disabled." He called for an inquiry into her disability certification. He urged for large-scale verification of certificates for candidates selected under the disabled quota in the MPPSC examination by doctors from Bhopal's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Kadam addressed these allegations, stating, "I come from an ordinary background, and I have achieved my position in life by struggling hard," as quoted by PTI. She shared that she suffered a severe hip injury in 2017 after a fall in a bathroom. An MRI scan revealed she had avascular necrosis, where bone tissues die due to blood supply obstruction.
Medical History and Current Condition
Kadam underwent four surgeries and mentioned that dancing helps keep her morale high. "I may look like a normal woman at first glance, but it is because of implants installed during complex surgery that I am able to walk and can even dance for five to ten minutes, as suggested by the doctors. But I also have to take painkillers at times," she explained.
