Viral Video: Bihar Train Passengers Catch Thief, See What Happens Next

A hard lesson was learned by a man attempting to snatch a mobile phone from a train passenger through the window when he ended up dangling outside. A video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows the thief hanging from the moving train after his attempted phone snatching failed.

The undated video is claimed to be from Bihar, where train window snatchings are routinely reported. According to the video's caption, the theft attempt was made from the moving train, but the alert passenger inside the compartment grabbed his hand, resulting in him hanging by the window.

He was also seized by other passengers, causing him to dangle from the moving train while attempting to free himself. He was pulled for a kilometre before being rescued by his alleged accomplices. Meanwhile, the incident was recorded by other passengers and shared on social media.

The video was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, where the X user named "Ghar Ke Kalesh" wrote, "'Kalesh near Bhagalpur Bihar, a snatcher was snatching a passenger's phone from a moving train, but he could not succeed in it and the passenger caught the snatcher and carried him hanging for about a kilometre."

In a similar incident in 2022, an attempt was made by a thief in Bihar to snatch a passenger's phone through the window while the train was halted at Sahebpur Kamal station. However, the thief's arm was grabbed by alert passengers and held onto as the train departed from the station.

His journey lasted around 10 kilometres, and he was eventually released when the train was close to Khagaria. According to reports from locals, he ran away.
