Viksit Bharat, Viksit Jammu And Kashmir: Police Share Advisory Ahead Of Prime Minister's Visit
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned to achieve NDA's target of 400 plus seats. According to the reports, PM Modi will visit Jammu on February 20, 2024, to celebrate Viksit Bharat, Viksit Jammu and Kashmir, where he is expected to make some major announcements and inaugurate development projects worth Rs 30,500 crore.
These diverse projects span crucial sectors such as healthcare, education, transportation, infrastructure, and more, promising to bolster the socio-economic fabric of the region.

In view of the Prime Minister's visit, state police have made stringent security arrangements on all routes leading to MA Stadium, where the public gathering will take place. To ensure smooth conduct and participation of the general public in the Prime Minister's roadshow, SSP Security Jammu has issued a detailed advisory that outlines specific entry points for participants hailing from different districts.
The J&K police have also requested the visitors to park their vehicles at specific parking points set up by the authorities.
The police further advised people coming to the PM's rally to carry valid identification proofs for streamlined entry procedures.
Jammu region has also been declared as a 'No Drone Zone' for February 20.
As per the advisory, a dry run will be carried out on 19.02.2024 as such no traffic movement shall be allowed beyond Dogra Chowk to P/S Nowabad Cut.
"Vehicles coming from Canal Head towards Dogra Chowk shall be diverted from Jewel Chowk-- St. Peters School--Bus Stand --K.C crossing--Indira Chowk -- JP Chowk -- Dogra Chowk/ Vivekananda Chowk and from Indira Chowk towards Shalamar or Directorate Ayush Cut for their destination," Jammu and Kashmir Police said in its communique.
"For any traffic-related assistance, Traffic Control Unit (TCU) Jammu may please be contacted on 0191-2459048,94191-47732 & 103," the police added.

Do's:
- Entry for participants coming from District Kathua, Samba, South Jammu across Tawi River, some areas of Udhampur-Reasi-Doda- Kishtwar-Ramban Districts shall be from Dogra Chowk side / Main gate of MA Stadium.
- Entry of participants coming from Jammu North, District Rajouri- Poonch, Udhampur-Reasi-Doda- Kishtwar-Ramban Districts shall be from GGM Science College Jammu.
- Be in time for smooth entry before the start of the rally (ensure entry before 9.30 AM).
- Please carry identity proof in the form of Aadhar card, Election card or Pan card or any other I.D proof.
- Please cooperate during frisking. Be in queues for smooth frisking/entry inside the venue well in time.
- Park your vehicle in the parking slots as per the parking slots identified /earmarked by the Civil Administration and Traffic Police.
Don'ts:
- Don't carry any bag, Tiffin boxes, other eatables, water bottles, cameras, sharp edge articles, inflammable material, cigarettes, match boxes, lighters, umbrellas, any objectionable flag, any electronic gadgets, etc.
- Mobile phones should be kept in switched off or silent mode.
