, 8 coaches of Doon Express got derailed near Ambedkar Nagar, injuring 15 people. It is said that the count may rise.

The eight coaches of the train included 6 sleeper coaches and 2 general bogies. The incident happened around 2:42 pm. According to inside sources, the DRM, Lucknow has been sent to the spot. The incident has affected traffic on this rail route.

Earlier on May 31, the train had encountered another accident on its way from Howrah to Dehradun when it got derailed near Koridia village, around 35 kilometers from Jaunpur, UP. 5 people had died and 10 were injured in the incident.
