Lucknow, March 28: Creating trouble for Sonia Gandhi and her party members, one Congress candidate from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh -- Imran Masood was caught in using abusive language against Narendra Modi. Masood was also seen threatening to kill BJP's prime ministerial candidate ahead of election.

A shocking video has been surfaced in which Masood was heard of threatening to chop Modi into small pieces while addressing a gathering.

Comparing Gujarat with Uttar Pradesh, Masood said that Uttar Pradesh cannot be compared with Gujarat where only 4 per cent people are Muslim.

In the video, Masood said, "UP is not Gujarat. There is only 4 per cent Muslim population in Gujarat but in UP there are 22 per cent Muslims here. I will fight against Narendra Modi because I know how to give a fitting reply to him. We will cut him into pieces."

Citing the hate speech against Modi, the Election Commission of India asked Congress and Masood to clarify his stand on the matter. The Congress candidate also asserted that BJP's prime ministerial candidate will face a tough time in contesting poll from Uttar Pradesh.

Modi is contesting from Varanasi against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. Congress is yet to declare its candidate from the holy place. However, Sonia Gandhi stated that the party would definitely field its candidate against Modi and Kejriwal, the two most prominent leaders of the moment.
