Video: BJP Accuses Rahul Gandhi Of Offering Biscuit From Dog To Congress Leader; Himanta Biswa Responds

A video was shared late on Monday by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and the party's IT cell head Amit Malviya, showing Rahul Gandhi serving biscuits from a dog's plate to a Congress leader during the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Malviya wrote in Hindi, "Just a few days ago, Congress President Kharge ji compared the party's booth agents to dogs. And here Rahul Gandhi is feeding biscuits to a dog during his visit, and when the dog does not eat, he gives the same biscuits to his worker. If a party's president and crown prince treat its party workers like dogs, then it is natural for such a party to disappear."

BJP hits out at Rahul Gandhi

This particular video has been criticised by many on social media. Referring to the Gandhi scion as "shameless," another BJP leader, Pallavi CT, recalled the day when former Congress leader and current Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was "made to eat" biscuits from the "same plate as Rahul Gandhi's pet dog, Pidi."

"And now a biscuit rejected by a dog is given to a party worker by Shehzada (prince). Is this the RESPECT they have for their party workers, supporters & voters?" she questioned on X.

In response to her post, Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, "Pallavi ji, not only Rahul Gandhi but the entire family could not make me eat that biscuit. I am a proud Assamese and Indian. I refused to eat and resign from the Congress."

Further, another BJP leader Harish Khurana, stated, "There is a wonderful culture in the grand old party. This is real Congress." As of now, there has been no response from the Congress regarding the latest controversy.
