A routine road accident call in Delhi's Kapashera revealed a trio of thieves, resulting in their arrest and recovery of stolen items. Police vigilance turned a simple incident into a significant crime investigation.

Officials received a PCR call at 8:13 pm on Wednesday regarding a collision between a scooter and a car near Kapashera. Upon arrival, officers noticed that the two men on the scooter appeared unusually anxious and eager to resolve the issue quickly, according to a senior police officer.

Thieves' Suspicious Behaviour

The men, identified as Rohit Ravidas, 25, and Karamjeet, 28, both from Sonia Gandhi Camp, raised further suspicion when one was found with a mobile phone he couldn't unlock. This prompted officers to ask more probing questions, turning the accident case into a criminal investigation.

During questioning, the men admitted to committing a house theft earlier that day in Gopalji Colony, Kapashera. They confessed to stealing a bag and three mobile phones from Lal Chand. Following their confession, police recovered the stolen bag and tracked down their accomplice.

Accomplice's Role Uncovered

Pankaj, 33, also from Sonia Gandhi Camp, was found with another stolen mobile phone sold to him by Rohit and Karamjeet. Police stated that Rohit and Karamjeet are habitual offenders who steal from homes and pass the loot to Pankaj for sale and profit-sharing.

Investigations revealed Rohit's involvement in four previous cases, while Pankaj has two prior cases. One of the stolen phones had already been sold. The police continue to investigate further connections and recover any remaining stolen items.
