Vice Presiedent Hamid Ansari undergoes airway surgery, doing well
New Delhi, Feb 8: Vice-President Hamid Ansari on Sunday successfully underwent a pre-scheduled preventive airway surgery at the AIIMS.
Following the operation, under general anaesthesia, for removing a mass from the air way, the Vice President is recovering well and is in good spirits, a statement said.
62-year-old Ansari was admitted to the hospital last night.
The doctors, led by Professor Suresh C Sharma, Head of ENT Department, and Professor Anjan Trikha, Department of Anaesthesiology, are monitoring the parameters of the Vice President and they are satisfied with his post-operation recovery, it said.
