"Singhal is being treated for cardiology and nephro problems. He has also developed problems in breathing," a source said.

BJP president Amit Shah visited the hospital on Saturday. Other visitors included Home Minister Rajnath Singh and VHP leader Praveen Togadia.

A doctor said a few parameters of the patient were not responding as desired.

Singhal was also referred to the hospital a fortnight back, but he was discharged after he showed signs of improvement.
