Vengara bypoll result: UDF's KNA Khader wins by over 23,000 votes followed by LDF
Vengara Bypoll Results 2017: UDF has won the battle.
The result of the Vengara Assembly bypoll has been declared on Sunday. IUML candidate KNA Khader has won the Vengara bypoll when the counting of the votes completed at the Tirurangadi PSMO college. He secured a lead of 23,310 votes over his counterparts.
The counting of votes began at 8 am in PSMO College, Tirurangadi. The election took place on October 11 across the 148 booths and 17 auxiliary polling stations with a record voter turnout of 72.12 per cent. 66,030 women and 56,550 male voters had casted vote in the bypoll.

Fourteen tables were arranged for the counting and each was managed by a supervisor, a micro observer and a counting assistant.

10:55 am: IUML candidate KNA Khader has won the Vengara bypoll when the counting of the votes completed at the Tirurangadi PSMO college.
10:48 am: UDF's KNA Khader wins, LDF second, SDPI third and NDA at fourth position
10:25 am: The SDPI has made a clear success securing the third place over BJP with around 7000 votes, while BJP has a vote share near 5000 votes.
10:23 am: After total number of 1 lakh votes counted, UDF gained above 57,000 votes. The LDF is in second position with more than 36,000 votes.
09:49 am: UDF's KNA Khader leading by over 21,000 votes
09:01 am: Six candidates, including K N A Khader of the IUML, P P Basheer of CPI-M, K Janachandran (BJP) and K C Naseer of the SDPI, are in the fray.
08:59 am: The initial trends show that former IUML's KNA Khader is in lead with more than 4000 votes.
08:40 am: The LDF is in second position. There is strong competition between SDPI and BJP for the third place.
08:30 am:The first counted postal vote was in favour of LDF's PP Basheer.
08:00 am: Counting of votes in the Vengara Assembly bypoll have begun.
