Varun Gandhi escapes unhurt after stage collapses in MP
Moradabad, March 13: BJP MP Varun Gandhi on Sunday, March 13 escaped unhurt after a makeshift stage, overcrowded with his supporters, collapsed at a party function here.
Gandhi, who was on his way to interact with farmers in Chhajlet, had made a brief halt at Peeli Kothi Chowk on the Moradabad-Haridwar Highway, where local MP Sarvesh Kumar had organised a welcome ceremony.

The Sultanpur MP, who turned 36 today, was sharing the dais with Kumar and Moradabad Mayor Veena Agarwal when the incident occurred.
Moradabad ASP Yashvir Singh said no one was injured in the incident, adding that no FIR has been registered.
