Varanasi: Restaurant selling NaMo rotis shut by UP police

NaMo roti
Varanasi, May 9: In another incident that may trigger tensions between the BJP and the non-BJP entities in the state, UP police shut down the restaurant that sold NaMo rotis with BJP's slogan imprinted on them.

According to unconfirmed reports, the machine that was used to imprint the slogan 'Ab ki Bar Modi Sarkaar' was seized by the police and the restaurant owner was asked not to interact with the media.

The reports come just a day after thousands of BJP workers protested in the BHU complex against the biased attitude of the Election Commission. Modi was not allowed to perform the Ganga Aarti on Wednesday and was not allowed to rally, which was later revoked. Interestingly, Modi got a warm welcome when he arrived for the protest yesterday.

BJP workers are placing mass orders for anything that is marked with Narendra Modi slogan, but cashing in tremendously are the manufacturers making these products. Some of the other Modi products that are taking rounds of the market include bricks, balloons, laddoos, jackets, toys and many more.
