Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies in J&K (Katra)

Jammu, June 14: A Vaishno Devi-bound pilgrim died apparently after falling off from a cliff in Katra town of Reasi district.

The body of the 25-year-old pilgrim, identified as Lakshmi Gupta, a resident of New Delhi, was found in a stream in Lambikeri area en route to the Bhavan today, a police officer said.

The body was shifted to sub-district hospital Katra for legal and medical formalities, he said.

He said that the woman, who got married on March 10, had come along with her husband. A case has been registered and investigation initiated, he said.
