Vadra will face probe if BJP comes to power: Jaitley
Hours after senior BJP leader Uma Bharti stated that Vadra won't be spared if BJP takes charge of the country after elections, another BJP senior leader Arun Jaitley said that there will be no witch-hunt, says a IBN Live report.
However, Jaitley added that the party will conduct a fair invertigation into the charges against Vadra.
"Any probe against Robert Vadra will be a fair one if we come to power. We will be fair, we will be law centric and not be personality centric," Jaitley told CNN-IBN.
However, Jaitley added that there will be no witchhunt
I have never personally attacked the Gandhi family but only responded when they targeted BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, said Jaitley.
Few hours ago, Uma Bharti had said, "Vadra is not an important person, but the theft that he has committed is so large that I have to speak about him. Who is Vadra? What are his credentials? When did he become a Gandhi? He is who is just because he is married to Sonia's daughter. Let me tell Priyanka that whether it is her husband or anyone else, the law is equal for every thief."
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad also hit out at Robert Vadra and the Gandhi family. "Priyanka Gandhi should explain that if the economy is going down how is your husband making such profits. The Robert Vadra model is an example of crony capitalism," he said.
