Uttarakhand News: UCC Services Available in 23 Languages with AI Support
Uttarakhand has launched a multilingual Uniform Civil Code portal in 22 languages, offering AI-assisted guidance to simplify registrations and improve transparency and accessibility.
The services under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code (UCC) are nowavailable not only in English but also in all 22 languages listed in theEighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution. In addition, applicants canunderstand the entire UCC process and complete their registrations with theassistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), making the system inclusive,simple, and user-friendly.

Even before the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, Chief MinisterPushkar Singh Dhami had issued clear instructions to ensure that theregistration process for all UCC-related services remains extremely simpleand accessible. He emphasized that the portal should be designed in such away that citizens can independently complete their registrations without anydifficulty. In line with this vision, the Information Technology DevelopmentAgency (ITDA) developed the UCC portal in English as well as in all 22scheduled languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada,Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit,Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Sindhi, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Santhali, and Manipuri.
