Uttarakhand: Show-cause notices to 54 IAS officers for skipping I- Day event

The Uttarakhand government on Thursday issued a show-cause notices to 54 IAS officers for skipping flag-hoisting functions organised on August 15. The Uttarakhand cadre has 87 IAS officers of which 10 are currently on deputation.

Those who have been served notices are 46 additional secretaries. one principal secretary, five secretaries-in-charge and two secretaries.

It is learnt that during the main-flag hoisting event which was held at Parade Fround in Dehradun, where CM Trivendra Singh was present, it saw a turnout of only 10-odd bureaucrats. After the event, Rawat had announced stringent action agianst all those who were missing without a valid reason.
