Chief Minister Releases NABARD’s State Focus Paper 2026–27

NABARD, in collaboration with the Uttarakhand government, released the State Focus Paper 2026-27 at Sahkarita Mela 2025. It estimates a credit potential of ₹65,916 crore for FY 2026-27, with emphasis on agriculture, MSMEs, infrastructure, and climate-related initiatives, guiding ACP planning and long-term development.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday released NABARD’s State Focus Paper 2026–27 duringSahkarita Mela 2025, jointly organized by NABARD and the Uttarakhand government in Dehradun. The event was attended by Cooperation Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Rajpur MLA Khajan Das, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, Registrar of Cooperative Societies Meherban Singh Bisht, NABARD Chief General Manager Pankaj Yadav, along with other senior officials.

The State Focus Paper presents a comprehensive assessment of Uttarakhand’s credit potential for priority sectors, estimated at ₹65,916 crore for the financial year 2026–27, reflecting a 20.50 percent increase over the previous year.

Prepared on the basis of district-level Potential Linked Credit Plans (PLPs), the document outlines a roadmap for balanced agricultural and rural development. It places special emphasis on key sectors such as agriculture, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), infrastructure development, and climate change-related initiatives.

NABARD reiterated its commitment to supporting the state government in credit planning and implementing developmental interventions aimed at inclusive and sustainable growth. The State Focus Paper will serve as a guiding document for banks and policymakers in finalizing the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and framing strategies for the state’s long-term development.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister appreciated NABARD’s efforts and encouraged all stakeholders to incorporate the recommendations of the State Focus Paper into the planning processes of various government departments to accelerate Uttarakhand’s development trajectory.
