Uttarakhand Government Celebrates Four Years of Progress with Key Achievements in New Booklet

The Uttarakhand government released a booklet detailing its achievements over four years, highlighting the Uniform Civil Code and anti-conversion laws among other initiatives aimed at development and social harmony.

The Uttarakhand government unveiled a booklet on Friday, showcasing its achievements over the past four years. This document highlights significant initiatives such as the Uniform Civil Code, anti-cheating and anti-conversion laws, and amendments to land regulations. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented the booklet, titled "Dhami Ki Dhamak - 4 Saal Bemisal," which translates to "Dhami's Impact - Four Years of Excellence."

Chief Minister Dhami stated, "In this successful four-year journey of development, Uttarakhand has made historic progress in areas such as the economy, infrastructure, social harmony, and cultural preservation." He emphasised the collaborative efforts of women, youth, statehood activists, ex-servicemen, and non-resident Uttarakhandis in building a prosperous and self-reliant state.

Government Initiatives and Achievements

The booklet claims that at least 100 government initiatives will have a lasting impact on the state's development. It also asserts that dozens of these initiatives are unprecedented in India. The document highlights 58 achievements that have positioned Uttarakhand at the forefront of national progress.

Significant economic growth is noted, with a substantial increase in mining revenue and rapid industrial expansion. The government reported that over 26,000 young people secured government jobs, reducing the unemployment rate to 4.4%. Additionally, the demolition of illegal shrines freed up 10,000 acres of land.

Social and Cultural Actions

The booklet also addresses government actions against issues like "land jihad" and "love jihad." It mentions the Uttarakhand Minority Education Bill as part of its legislative efforts. Furthermore, it highlights Operation Kalnemi targeting fake seers and outlines the government's role in managing natural disasters.

The Silkyara tunnel rescue operation is featured as a key achievement. The development of the Manaskhand Temple Circuit is also noted among other cultural preservation efforts. These initiatives reflect the government's focus on maintaining social harmony and cultural heritage.

The comprehensive list of achievements underscores the government's commitment to progress across various sectors. By addressing economic growth, social issues, and cultural preservation, Uttarakhand aims to continue its trajectory towards sustainable development.
