Uttarakhand: Congress all set to begin preparations for 2017 Assembly polls
According to the report, Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Kishore Upadhyaya said this while talking to media persons on Tuesday.
Chief minister Harish Rawat is one of the most hard working party workers, said Upadhyaya adding that Rawat wants all party members to work for the party at the ground level to secure a strong majority in the 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections and form government in Uttarakhand.
According to the party's plans, the leaders will tour district headquarters and coordinate the works of party men. The party leadership will hold meetings with women's Congress leaders, students' organisations, youth Congress and various party cells after August 5.
Upadhyaya will be touring various parts of the State in the coming days too assess the situation before making an announcement about the party's State executive group.
