Uttarakhand Cong demands Mayor's resignation

"It is 11 months since the Municipal Board was set up under the leadership of Chamoli, but the city still does not have a dependable waste disposal mechanism," Dhasmana said in a statement here.

"Garbage heaps are dumped along the streets and drains are clogged," he said demanding the Mayor's resignation if he can't do anything about this. If a solid waste disposal system is not put in place soon, Congress workers will demand dissolution of the Board, Dhasmana said.
