Uttarakhand CM to be replaced before Feb 6

Sources say that Harish Rawat is ahead in the race and seems to be the main contender for CM's post. Finance Minister Indira Hridayesh has also made a claim for the top post. According to India TV, before heading for Delhi on Friday evening, she said, "Considering my long political experience, I am definitely a contender for the post. It will be beneficial for the state and the Congress."
Vijay Bahuguna's exit has been in the cards for sometime now. Sonia had received complaints about the Bahuguna government's "mishandling" of relief and rehabilitation operations in the wake of the disaster that hit the state early this year. Bahuguna had completely failed to deliver proper relief to the people of Uttarakhand. The party high command decided to take a decision without further delay after the party's poor performance in the recent assembly elections.
